Dinner for A Cold Winter Night

There are different variations of this classic comfort food but for me it is best the way my mom always made it. Ground beef, corn, brown sauce, onion and covered with mashed potatoes and baked.

I used Rinderbraten sauce for the base and added a couple tablespoons of ketchup. For the potatoes, I mashed then mixed in a little bit of shredded Emmentaler cheese, then topped it with salt, freshly ground pepper and a light dusting of parmesan cheese.

And, voila! Shepherds Pie!

Perfect dinner after walking around the city all afternoon in sub-freezing temperatures!
