I hope this is a sign of more to come. This winter was getting depressing with no snow and cherry blossoms out in January. Time to hit the slopes this weekend!!
There is a variety of winter-blooming cherry that is very common in Germany in Switzerland. They, along with witch hazel, always flower in January and early-February.
